Caco / Kermit

A few time ago i did a small tribute to Jim Henson, trying to create a model of Kermit the Frog. And was at the same time an attempt to create a bigger sculpture, at least bigger than that ones that i was used to do, and a new technique to cover it. See below, the progresses of the piece, 'til the final result.

A Algum tempo atrás eu fiz um pequeno tributo à Jim Henson, tentando criar um modelo de Caco o Sapo. E foi ao mesmo tempo uma tentativa de criar uma escultura maior, pelo menos maior do que aquelas que eu estava acostumado a fazer, e uma nova técnica para cobri-la. Veja abaixo os progressos da peça, até o resultado final.

Then i cover the whole thing with newspaper, the technique of Papier Mache.

And the final painted model. I did the paint job with airbrush and acrylics and a brush to the mouth and tongue.

E o modelo final já pintado. Eu fiz a pintura com aerógrafo e tinta acrílica e com um pincél para a boca e língua.
